Meet Clara!
This session was seriously close to perfect! Clara allowed me to play with colors, wraps and a REALLY cool prop set up! Also, it's sessions like this that make you realize how small the world is. Mom is a nurse, and we naturally started to talk jobs and kids and when I mentioned that my oldest son, Chase, is a type-1 diabetic, our conversation just exploded from there! Not only is mom also a type-1, BUT she is a nurse for the endocrinology department where my son attends his visits AND she knows his nurses personally.
Moments like that make me really appreciate my job, and where it has taken me. Chase being diagnosed is what originally led me to leave the wonderful world of teaching and explore options that could help me stay home with him more often. To eventually take newborn sessions for now 3 of the endocrinology nurses is such a fun way the scariest year of my life has came full circle. These women truly held me together during that time, and I absolutely love that our paths still cross from time to time.
Clara hardly woke during her session, and was what us newborn photographers like to call a "dream baby". Plus, her dad is a total outdoors man, and brought some great homemade arrows and some of his deer sheddings for us to use for her prop shot setup. That paired with some gorgeous headbands from (Anna's) Custom Yarn Barn made it a beautiful setup!
