Dramatic Maternity Session:: Gahanna Ohio Maternity Photographer

Every once in a while I get the chance to experiment, play with light, and really push my creativity in the studio. I isn't a secret that I photograph pregnant moms and newborns, so I actually book quite a few of these types of sessions. When the family contacts me, they typically have in their heads what they want their photos to look like. Some people bring me pintrest boards, others bring their own props and such.

When this beautiful mom to be came to me, she wanted a mini session with just her. No husband, no props, just her, a few gowns, and simple backgrounds. However, this is where she got me excited....her inspiration photos were all dramatic lighting, lots of shadows, and just stunning! I LOVED the idea of this challenge.

The only "prop" she brought was her winged shoes. Which I LUCKILY had the PERFECT Grecian style gown to go with them.

She had Leigh Anne from Make You LLC style her hair and makeup, and we were all thrilled with how stunning she looked.

All of these gowns that you see in this post were supplied by the studio. Full hair and makeup was performed and arranged for the shoot. We provide a full service experience for our maternity sessions, and LOVE to make our pregnant mommies feel beautiful! Because in my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful then the image of a woman carrying a miracle!!

These images I have had in my head for a while. I wanted a side by side soft/dark image contrasting each other. I LOVE how they came out!!
