Modern Head Shots:: Columbus, Ohio Photographer

I don't know, these modern head shots may be my new favorite photos to take. Megan and her family recently moved to Ohio from California....I don't know how many of you know, but I lived in Cali for 9 yrs of my life, so I was excited to meet another California girl turned Buckeye.

She reached out to me because although her husband and her own a Film and production company Best Day Ever Films, she recently opened her own consulting business. She assists other entrepreneurs with branding, websites, SEO, and social media marketing, Branded Belle Media. She was in need of some updated head shots, and searched for someone who would meet her brand's needs. We discussed her vision. She wanted light, airy, and the inspiration photos she sent me were full of whites, light greys, pastel colors, and lots of yummy, beautiful light. She wanted to portray a glimpse into her work day, a more casual style for her head shots. Carefree, fun, but yet still professional. These head shots would be featured on her website, blog, facebook page, etc, so she wanted to make sure we had a good selection, and photos she could use to help guide her own clients on how to put your best foot forward for your brand and business. We struggled with weather, and our initial plans for locations not panning out, but we eventually found the PERFECT location, and against typical protocol for "perfect time of day" for shooting (typically first thing in the morning or evening light is best for outdoor photos), we worked with the beautiful light at 2 in the afternoon. I think we nailed the look she wanted for her brand!!
