When Carolena's mom called to book me for their newborn session, she told me all about her beautiful son, Perry. You could tell by the love in her voice, that he meant the world to her, and Carolena was going to be joining a very loving family. Mom was very excited for the sibling photos and family photos. However, she did warn me that Perry was young. 18 months old when baby sister would be born.
I ALWAYS put sibling and family photos as top priority when asked to by the parents, and I attempt a couple different set ups for the older siblings to take part in, in hopes that if one won't work, another one will. Perry was definitely a rambunctious 18 month old who didn't quite know what to think of the new baby sister, but I was thrilled when we captured a few treasured shots.

I always get soooo excited when I capture a smile from a newborn during their photo session. Some say it is gas, I like to think they are just letting me know how much fun they are having at their shoot:-)

Awake photos are some of my favorite as well!! You have to get a bit creative when capturing awake photos, because newborn's arms and legs are usually constantly moving when they are awake. A nice wrap can help contain the flailing arms and legs. Look at the eye contact little miss gave me!! I LOVE it!

And a BIG yawn. SOOOO sweet.

Once again she decided to wake up. So once again I wrapped her tight to capture more beautiful photos. She eventually passed out, and I tried the new "potato sack pose". Her little chunky cheeks are soooo kissable!!

And of course let's not forget about the family photo!!! Look at Perry!!! SOOOOO happy!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
