Oh the NICU nurses. They are near and dear to my heart. After having 2 babies in the NICU, I appreciate their hard work and love for their jobs. It is always an honor when they entrust their photos to me.
Ashley works at the hospital my older daughter was in for her short 6 day NICU stay 4.5 yrs ago. My sister also works in this particular NICU, and because of this, I have captured so many of the NICU nurses' family memories, i have lost count. I have photographed senior photos, family photos, newborn photos, and child photos. This was my first time capturing Ashley's family, because this was her first time expecting. She needed maternity photos and newborn photos of her daughter.
Baby Callie took a while to start popping out. We were originally going to capture her maternity photos when the spring blossoms were in bloom, but Ashley claimed her baby bump was still not that big. Even in these photos, she looks fairly tiny (at least in comparison to what my bellies have looked like at this stage in the game...lol). And THEN Callie went and decided to come early!! She decided to show the world who was boss and come at 37 weeks and 5 days. The funny thing is Ashley had a feeling Callie was going to make an early appearance. You know what they say....mamma's intuition is usually right:-) So glad we were able to capture these beautiful maternity photos as Franklin Park Conservatory before Callie arrived:-)
I will post her newborn photos as soon as I finish editing and deliver them to mom and dad.
