Dustin and Brittany: Columbus, Ohio Wedding Photographer

One of the biggest compliments you can get as a wedding photographer is being referred out to a family member of another photographer. My friend and fellow photographer, Stephanie, decided she wanted to attend a wedding instead of shooting it. So she sent Brittany and Dustin my way.

Brittany and Dustin met at Ohio State. We did their engagement photos out there and got to know eachother a little better prior to the big day. Here are a few pictures from their session.

However, the wedding was up in the Findlaay/Tiffin area. I was excited to explore new locations and venues, so waas MOOORRREEE than willing to travel up there.

We had a ton of obstacles to overcome. First, unknown to Brittany and Dustin, I was REALLY sick. Like throwing up, fever sick, JUST the night before their wedding. However, I sucked it up, and kept that between me aand my assistant who was informed to keep a bucket close by the day of;-)

THEN we woke up to the wors ice storm I have seen in years. It created a HUGE issue when driving the morning of the wedding: BLACK ICE. But, I left 2 hrs earlier then originally planned to make it 35 mins away to the hair salon:-) I was only 15 mins late!! But i got there all in one peice, and so did the girls!!!!

We had a plan for photos...but you know what they say "If you want to make God laugh, make plans". It was cold, and rainy almost all day! The phtoos of the girls prior to the wedding was done in the church, but then we lucked out after the ceremony!! The Bridals and group photos were able to take place outside since the rain let up temporarily!!! The red baarn made for BEAUTIFUL bridal photos.

I am a FIRM believer in rolling with the punches when it comes to photographing weddings. I always come prepared for any type of lighting, and I LOVE how i have always had wedding parties and brides that are good sports and go for just about anything:-)
